INSURANCES AND EXTRAS FOR YOUR RENTAL CAR

Rental Excess

The basic rental excess liability is 195.000 ISK on normal 2WD cars, 360.000 ISK on 4×4, luxury cars and passenger vans and 500.000 ISK on motorhomes. That is the maximum limit of what Geysir will charge in the case of most collision damage. This does not include damages that occur while driving off the marked road or when crossing rivers or driving in water. Third Party Liability and Theft Protection

Every rental includes a Third Party Liability insurance and Theft Protection. The Third party liability covers any damages to other vehicles in the case of a collision. Theft Protection covers the vehicle against theft, but it does not cover any personal items that may be stolen from the vehicle. In the case of Theft, the basic rental excess applies.

Gold Insurance

The Gold insurance package includes Theft Protection, Third Party Liability, Personal Accident insurance, and waives liability for all body damages on the vehicle. Gold insurance does not include Windows and glass cover, and Gravel Protection.

26 EUR per day on 4×4, luxury, and passiner vans

Zero Excess Insurance

The Zero Excess is our most premium insurance that brings your rental excess liability down to ZERO, in the case of a collision. This includes gravel, sand, and ash damage, and damages to the windows and glass. This does not include damages that occur while driving off the marked road or when crossing rivers or driving in water.
